Transcript of Russ Feingold's Radio Ad: "Piotrowski"

May 19, 2004

JOHN: I'm John Piotrowski, with the Packaging Corporation of America in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. In February 2000, I attended U.S. Senator Russ Feingold's listening session in Lincoln County.
RUSS: John told me that his company was in a rush to meet federal emissions regulations, but the EPA wasn't moving fast enough.
JOHN: We had an alternative method to prevent pollution that had already been approved by the Wisconsin DNR.
RUSS: My office contacted the EPA, and was able to get things expedited for John and his company, so they'd save money and improve their environmental performance.
JOHN: It's nice to have one of your elected officials really listen and respond quickly.
RUSS: Over eight hundred and forty listening sessions have made a difference. I'm Russ Feingold, and I approved this message because a strong Wisconsin and American workforce continues to be a priority for all of us. I invite you to join me as I kick off my 2004 bid to be re-hired as your U.S. Senator this week.
