Feingold Campaign Announces Strong Fundraising Numbers
$4.3 Million Cash on Hand, Average Contribution Remains a Low $52
MILWAUKEE – U.S. Senator Russ Feingold's campaign today released its fundraising numbers ahead of the 2010 second-quarter reporting deadline on July 15, 2010. Below are the details:
- The Feingold Campaign has more than $4.3 million cash on hand. Our average contribution over the cycle is a low $52.
- In the second quarter of 2010, the Feingold Campaign raised over $1.4 million alone from over 18,000 donors, including more than $277,000 raised online.
- More than 1,800 online donors contributed to Feingold’s campaign during the final week of the quarter.
- Senator Feingold's campaign has received contributions from citizens in each of Wisconsin's 72 counties, and holding true on a pledge he made during his first campaign, a majority of his contributions have come from Wisconsinites.
“I’m proud of the strong grassroots support we have earned from every corner of Wisconsin,” Senator Feingold said. “Our campaign has always been built on the support of citizens who deserve an independent voice for them in the U.S. Senate.”
The Feingold campaign also released new numbers in the Wisconsin Senate race – numbers that really matter come Election Day:
16 Field Offices: Last month, the Feingold Campaign announced the opening of four additional, fully staffed field offices located across Wisconsin. New Feingold Campaign offices are now up and running in Waukesha, Sheboygan, Ashland and Appleton and join field offices in Racine, Kenosha, Wausau, Janesville, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Hudson, Porterfield, Madison and Green Bay. The Milwaukee and Middleton offices have remained open since the 2004 campaign.
46,000 Doors: The Feingold Campaign has knocked on more than 46,000 doors including more than 9,000 during the “May 500” statewide canvass alone. In March, the Feingold Campaign announced the launch of weekly canvasses coordinated by each field office and will host another major statewide canvass on July 24.
38,000 Phone Calls Made: The Feingold Campaign has made nearly 38,000 phone calls to targeted voters across Wisconsin. The campaign hosts nightly phone banks to identify and talk to voters in every Wisconsin community.
2,800 Current and Former Elected Officials: More than 2,800 current and former elected officials from across Wisconsin have endorsed Senator Feingold’s campaign.
1,300 Steering Committee Members: Feingold’s statewide campaign and field operations continue to expand – including 27 active regional campaign steering committees with more than 1,300 members who help advise the campaign on outreach in their local communities. These committees have been meeting regularly since 2004 and have already helped to organize several canvasses, including March’s successful “Spring Fling” canvass and the “May 500” canvass.
Online Grassroots Support: The Feingold Campaign enjoys online grassroots support from 21,000 Facebook fans and 10,000 Twitter followers.
