Headlines might focus more often on Senator Feingold's independence or his leadership in reforming campaign finance law with fellow maverick John McCain, but he also has an effective record of delivering critical resources to our state.

Senator Feingold worked with others in the Wisconsin delegation to change the formula for distribution of transportation dollars, ensuring Wisconsin would get is fair share of funds and the jobs that go with them.

He also wrote a new bill to eliminate much of the regional inequity in Medicare that penalized Wisconsin for delivering medical care more efficiently. In part, due to his efforts, an additional $200 million in Medicare dollars is coming to Wisconsin over ten years.

Senator Feingold's efforts also helped secure $6 million in Upward Bound grants for our state to help students from low-income families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree afford and succeed in college here in Wisconsin, and he led the fight to increase the maximum amount of Pells grants available to students, which directly helped more than 58,000 Wisconsin students afford college.

But these are just a few of the things Senator Feingold has done to deliver for Wisconsin. For more information on some of his efforts in your local community, please click on your county in the map below:
